Shelf Life is my novella set in the universe of Michael Bunker’s Pennsylvania. It tells the story of Jacob Alders, a young man living in the city of New Detroit, on the Great Shelf of the planet New Pennsylvania. Jacob shares a small apartment with his invalid mother, who is suffering from a disease known as The Wasting, which has turned her into a shell of her former self. Jacob was raised to hate TRACE for what they’ve taken from the residents of New Detroit. But when he’s introduced to the net show of a former Transport director, he starts to question the official story. What starts as simple curiosity turns him into an unwilling pawn between powerful forces and changes his life in ways he could never imagine. Michael Bunker had this to say about Shelf Life:
“Very rarely can an author say that a work set in his own created world is as good, or better, than the original. That is certainly the case with Shelf Life. I enjoyed every minute of this read. Shelf Life is an exciting, fantastic journey into the world of Pennsylvania with twists and surprises that kept me turning pages. I was sad to see it end.” – Michael Bunker, author of Pennsylvania
Shelf Life will release on June 16th, and we have a cover!
This great, Jason Gurley cover really captures the feel I was going for with life on the Shelf. The indie publishing world lost a great cover artist when Jason retired, but we gained an even better author. ARCs (advanced review copies) will be available soon. If you want a FREE advance copy of Shelf Life, all you have to do is sign up for my email newsletter via the button on the right, and promise to leave an honest review near the release date. I’ll be sending out an email to all of my subscribers on Monday, the 8th with the links to download the Shelf Life ARC. It’s free! Free is good, right?
Hope you sign up, and hope you enjoy Shelf Life.
